Wild life in our ponds
In spring these yellow water irises can be seen flowering at the edge of the ponds.
Dragonflies, such as this common hawker, hunt for their prey (small flies) by flying over the pond's surface and over the reeds.
The ponds in the Langford Wildlife Park make a very important eco-system which supports dragonflies, frogs, and also plants which grow in damp ground in the sun.
