Nintendo Wii Scheme

In January 2009 Cherwell District Council launched their Nintendo Wii programme. The Nintendo Wii programme includes a 6ft x 6ft big screen and mobile projector aimed at 50+ social groups to play gentle games and sport on. This includes bowling, tennis, baseball, golf and even boxing. Don’t worry though there is no running involved. The Nintendo Wii uses a motion sensor to enable the player to move as though they were playing the real game but on a much more gentle basis.

Any seniors group, organisation, day centre or sheltered accommodation can book the Nintendo Wii for a session. This service is provided completely free of charge and a member of the Community Development Team at Cherwell District Council will come along to your venue and set up the equipment, demonstrate how to use it and take the equipment away again after the session is completed.

For further information or to book the Nintendo Wii scheme please call our booking line on 01295 221803.
