Kurling
The Get Active Equipment Scheme is a
service that any senior’s group,
organisation, day centre of sheltered
accommodation can arrange to use.
The equipment includes:
• a new age curling set
• a complete alley skittles set
• a super foam croquet set
A member of Cherwell’s Community
Development Team will deliver the
equipment, demonstrate its use and run
through the rules of the game to
ensure the group is comfortable with
the use of the equipment. The
initiative offers opportunities for
the over 50s from both rural and urban
communities to enjoy competitive and
friendly sport. This is a service
that can be booked on a regular
basis. Should the group feel they
would like to continue with the
activity on a regular basis Cherwell
District Council would look to part
fund purchasing the equipment needed.

will be on offer later in the year.
