Banburyshire Community Transport Association Ltd is a registered charity set up several years ago to provide transport services for the mobility impaired in and around the Cherwell District. This gives a brief summary of the services provided by BCTA Ltd:
BCTA runs two rural scheduled bus services that operate five days a week and visits 59 separate Parishes. Many of these communities had limited or no public transport services. This is charged at £2-00 per single journey. We are also pleased to take National Bus Tokens and Cherwell District Council Bus Passes.
BCTA also operates the Cherwell District Dial-A-Ride service, which is a door to door service for mobility impaired people. The vehicles used are specially designed so that people who cannot normally use conventional public transport can use our vehicles with ease. In order to use this service, it is necessary for the passenger to telephone our office the day before to book the journey. For a maximum fare of a £2-00 per sinlge journey, you can travel within the town nearest to you. We also accept National Bus Tokens and Cherwell District Council Bus Passes.
