Akeman Voices were founded in 1999 by their musical director, Martin Quinn. The choir consists of local singers from the North Oxfordshire area, who come together to sing mainly classical choral music (although we have performed some lighter music ranging from G&S to West End Musical). The choir consider The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Bicester, to be their main concert venue and home. Akeman Voices travel around Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties in their very busy concert schedule, typically consisting of 5/6 public performances per year together with additional corporate engagements, weddings & funerals.
